How to Take Better Care of Your Invisalign Trays

Even though Invisalign trays are resilient, they aren’t indestructible. To ensure that your trays stay in good shape and give you the best results possible, we have a few essential tips to consider.

Put Them In Your Case When You’re Not Wearing Them

One of the many benefits of Invisalign is that you can take them out when you are eating and/or brushing your teeth. To make sure that you don’t drop them or chip them in any way, make sure that whenever you aren’t wearing them , they are placed in their case.

Handle Them With Care

You don’t have to wear white gloves when you are handling your Invisalign trays, but you should also handle them with care. Every time you take them out, make sure that you apply gentle pressure to remove them. Also, when you put them back in, don’t shove them in your mouth because the extra force could potentially bend them.

Wash Them

Dirty Invisalign trays are only going to lead to stained teeth and a mouth full of bacteria. Make sure that you rinse your trays before you put them in every time and also make sure that you brush them at least once a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush. The cleaner your Invisalign trays are, the better they will work, and the healthier the rest of your mouth will be.

Having straight teeth won’t just make you feel more confident, but they can also help your mouth stay healthier. To learn more about Invisalign and how to take better care of your trays, contact our Montreal office at 514-875-7971.
